Written against what the app actually does, not against a template. Last reviewed August 2026.
Open the app, enter your birth data, get your chart. In guest mode that data lives in the app's own storage on your device and nowhere else. The decision journal is the same: entries are written to the device and are never uploaded.
To draw a chart, the date, time and timezone you entered are sent to our calculation service, which returns the chart and keeps no copy tied to you. When you search for a birth place, the text you type is sent to our lookup service to resolve the place and its timezone. Nothing else about you travels with either request.
An account stores your email address and the name you give, through Amazon Cognito. You can instead sign in with Apple or with Google, in which case we receive whatever that provider hands us — with Apple, that can be a relay address rather than your real one, and that is fine.
With an account, the charts you save are stored on our servers so they follow you between devices. Each record is bound to your account and is only ever read back for you.
Asking the coach a question sends that question, the rest of that conversation, and a summary of the chart you are looking at — type, authority, profile, centres, channels and gates — to OpenAI, which generates the answer. Your name and email do not go with it, and neither does your birth date, time or place: the coach is given the chart, not the birth data it was cast from.
Those conversations are also saved to our database against your account, so a chat is still there when you come back to it. Deleting your account today removes your charts, your profile and your settings, but not these conversations — write to [email protected] and we will erase them too. We are changing that so the one action covers both. If you would rather nothing were kept at all, the coach can be switched off in Settings.
OpenAI processes the request and does not use it to train their models. We do not read your conversations; the only thing our logs record is that a request happened, and how large it was.
Transit alerts and the daily reminders are scheduled by the app on your phone. There is no push server, which also means we do not hold a device token for you.
A chart cast on eight-7.com is not saved. The result is carried in the address bar, which is what makes the link shareable — and what means we have no copy of it. The site uses Cloudflare, which counts visits in aggregate.
Settings has a Delete Account action. It removes the account and the charts stored against it. Anything held only on your device goes when you delete the app.
No advertising networks, no data brokers, no selling or renting of personal information. We share data only with the services that run the app — Amazon Web Services for accounts and storage, Apple and Google if you choose their sign-in — and only as far as running it requires.
